Launton Boys Football Club

The youth section of the club has 11 teams ranging from under 8 to under 17.  We predominantly play in the Witney District Youth Football League, with the exception of our Under 17 team that play in the Oxford Mail League.  Across those teams, we have 167 registered players.  We have 23 volunteers including team coaches, committee members, child welfare officers and treasurer.  All of our volunteers hold valid criminal record checks, have undertaken safeguarding and emergency first aid courses and our coaches are all FA Level 1 qualified.  We are an FA Charter Standard Club.  This is a voluntary accreditation that we opt to achieve every year that requires audit and approval from the local FA.  By complying we demonstrate that we:

  • Are well-organised, safe and offer opportunities for all
  • Have FA-qualified coaches as standard
  • Adhere to FA Respect Policies and Codes of Conduct
  • Prioritise Child Welfare
  • Maintain appropriate levels of discipline
  • Have access to the County FA and FA regional workforces
  • Can use the coveted ‘Three Lions’ FA crest on our communications
